The drive up to Elma, Manitoba from my home in Winnipeg was quintessential, fall loveliness. As I neared the little town that houses Rivers Edge Resort, the trees became all sorts of beautiful orange, yellow and red. Steve and Becky said I do on a small dock during the most gorgeous September day. Their whole wedding party stayed in the Rivers Edge Resort's cabins for the weekend, setting up the main hall and rehearsing their ceremony on Friday evening, before relaxing around a bonfire with their squad.
Steve and Becky's decor had a touch of rustic and accents of comic-book chic. Becky wore Batman Converse kicks under her romantic A-line gown from CKLY Bridal. She designed her florals herself, snagging silk flowers from Michaels. Steve's grey suit is from George Richard's Menswear and his wedding ring was created by Origin Handcrafted.
Becky's mom, dad, and doggo Coco walked her down the aisle from one of Rivers Edge Resort's cabins to the ceremony overlooking the river followed by classic wedding day portraits, a cocktail hour, and a chill reception in the hall. Becky and Steve shared their first dance in the field next to the hall, surrounded by their guests who were holding sparklers and then cut their cake which was created by Nachelle's Cakes.
