As Manitoba continues to slowly open and photographers return to work, I want to lay out some ground rules for myself and for you as my dear clients. As a business, I would like to implement measures for the purposes of keeping all of us safe and of limiting possible risks and exposures.
Symptom screening
I commit to monitoring my own health and exposures to ensure that when I photograph your sessions I am not exposing you during that session. This means that should any concerns arise (like an increase in body temperature, a cough, or any other COVID-related symptoms as well as any exposure to others who have traveled or are exhibiting symptoms) your session may need to be rescheduled or postponed at the last minute.
In that regard, I am asking my clients to also monitor their own health and exposures, along with anyone participating in the session. Please use the following screening tool to gauge whether or not you and your partner/family are ready to safely participate in a photo session.
I ask that you take a look at this checklist prior to your session:
Masks
I also commit to wearing a mask and providing adequate protective and sanitization implements. I will also require clients to wear a mask during the moments when you are not in front of the camera, even for outdoor photo sessions. I encourage you to also bring hand sanitizer.
Outdoor Shoots
Outdoor photo locations must be relatively secluded from the public and so we will avoid populated areas for that reason. The good news is that there are very many lovely locations within Manitoba, and even within popular parks and locations, where we can easily avoid contact and exposure with the public. Please don’t hesitate to reach out if you need help finding the right location for your shoot.
Indoor Shoots
All indoor shoots must be at an approved indoor studio location. The following locations offer rental space for private shoots (Note that the rental fee will be in addition to your session fee):
Postponements and Cancellations
If we need to reschedule or postpone your session because of safety concerns related to possible risks and exposures of the COVID-19 virus and its variants, there will be no penalties and a refund of your retainer may be issued (minus applicable fees/taxes already remitted).
