Three weeks before their mid-June wedding, I met with Kat and Ren for the first time for their wedding photography consultation. They booked me that day over lunch at a local bakery. Their priority in my capturing of their love story was to include all of the many friend and family that would be celebrating with them, and they chose to shorten their wedding day portrait timeframe in order to spend more time with the most important humans and their life. With a giant selection of board games available, Kat and Ren's dinner reception at the gorgeous Qualico Family Center in Assiniboine Park was filled with laughter and stories. This beloved couple spent their wedding day time and resources on people. Many of the lovely details that you will see in were created by them and their family. Kat's dad created their backdrop, which is covered with artificial greens. The decor and florals were also DIY. Kat found her wedding gown on Kijiji, along with the mini-golf run that was enjoyed by all. This thrifty and crafty bride created a stunning wedding celebration.
